Exams Overview

This course includes two major exams — one at mid-year and one at the end of year. Both exams include an ACTFL proficiency self-assessment to help students understand their language development.

Exam Preparation Tips

  1. Review chapter vocabulary lists and the Glossary
  2. Practice conjugating VAI verbs in all seven persons
  3. Know the animacy of all major vocabulary nouns (AN vs. IN)
  4. Review the cultural content — AIS 112 connections appear on both exams
  5. Practice writing sentences, not just memorizing words
  6. Use the chapter quizzes as practice tests — they use the same question formats
